Description:
Tinplate, with a tinny iron sheet plated on the surface, has good rust resistance, and is also known as tinplated iron. For packaging business, tinplating cold-rolled steel sheet is commonly known as tinplate, there are hot dipping tinplate and electrolytic tinplate, tinplating steel sheet is commonly known as tinplate, tinplate is a production plated with pure tin on a 0.1mm-thick~0.5mm-thick, cold-rolling, low carbon steel sheet (08F, Q195BF, Q215BF). For tinplate sheet production, the main manufacturing process is to heat, hot-roll and acid pickling, cold-roll the slab, and also need to be heat treated, smoothed and electrolytic tinplated afterwards, finally rolled up or cutted before package it up. Those tinplate supplied as flat, we call them steel plate, those tinplate supplied as rolls, we call them steel belt.

Application:
Tinplate is widely used, it could be the package material of food and drink, it could be the can material of grease can, chemical can and all other kinds of cans, one good thing about tinplate is that it has a good protection for the goods inside, physically and chemically. The tin coating both inside and outside provide a good protection, in short, the steel belt provide the strength and tin coating provided corrosion prevention. Tinplate sheet has the advantage of both steel sheet and tin ------ the machinability, weldability and strength of steel sheet, and the tin makes iron shine, gives iron a good corrosion resistance , you can also use tin in printing and painting since tin is poisonless, when tin and iron comes together with food, they won't generate harmful substance, that is why tinplate sheet has been using as the main packaging material in food packaging for a long time, and widely used in producing all other kinds of vessels and stampings, among which 90% tinplate is used in can-making manufacture, most of the tinplate is used in can industry. If you use it carefully, tinplate could be used for more than ten years and still non-rusted.
